Candle Care

Burn the first time until the melt pool reaches the vessel wall—typically two to three hours. Wax has memory, and the first burn sets the surface for every burn that follows.

Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. If the flame begins to smoke, extinguish the candle, trim the wick, and relight.

Burn on a level, heat-safe surface, away from drafts, curtains, children, and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

For the cleanest burn, enjoy your candle for no more than four hours at a time. If the wick drifts off-center, gently nudge it back while the wax is still molten, then allow the candle to cool and fully set before relighting.

If burning more than one candle, keep them at least a hand’s width apart.

The vessel will become warm during use. Allow it to cool before moving. Discontinue burning when approximately ¼ inch of wax remains. This protects the glaze—and marks the beginning of the vessel’s second life.

Between burns, store your candle covered, at room temperature, and out of direct sunlight.
